The Three Branches Of Government (Assignment 4, Part 2)

We have been spending time in Social Studies learning about the three branches of government in the United States.  Please watch the following video at least three times and address the questions below on a separate piece of paper.  The first viewing should be for enjoyment - relax and enjoy the video.  Before watching the second time, read the questions carefully and then watch.  For the third time (and as many other viewings as you need), try and answer the questions.

And for all of you who have asked me what television was like when I was a kid, this video is from that time.  Let me know what you think!

Questions:

1) What are the three branches of government?

2) Give an example of an institution in each branch.

3) Give at least two examples of the responsibilities of each 

branch.

4) What are checks and balances? Can you give an example of how it works?

5) Did the video forget anything about the three branches that we learned about in class? What would you do to change the content of the video?
